THE MALAY CUSTOMS HALL INDERA PERKASA ON PENYENGAT ISLAND
Abstract
The Indera Perkasa Malay Customary Hall is an important symbol in the efforts to preserve Malay culture in the Riau Islands, Indonesia. This hall not only functions as a place to hold various traditional and cultural activities, but also as a center for the community to maintain and preserve the values of wisdom. local values, norms, ethics, and traditions, play an important role in shaping the cultural identity of the community . Along with the development of the times, this Traditional Hall also plays a role as a cultural tourism destination that contributes to the local economy .Study This aiming For to study History and function of the Customary Hall Malay Indera Perkasa on the Island Stinger as symbol inheritance culture Malay . Method used is descriptive qualitative with interview to three resource person , namely two figure community (RM and RA) and Head of the Customary Hall (Mr. AS). Research results show that the Customary Hall This built through collaboration government and society custom with objective to preserve culture Malay . Apart from being center deliberation , hall customs also function as place preservation arts and culture as well as destination tourism that supports economy local .
