Author Guidelines

1. Scope

The proceeding accepts manuscripts derived from Community Service activities, including but not limited to:

  • Community empowerment

  • Community-based education and training

  • Public health initiatives

  • Creative economy and MSMEs

  • Appropriate technology

  • Social innovation and sustainable development

Manuscripts should demonstrate practical implementation and community impact.

2. Types of Manuscripts

Accepted manuscript types include:

  • Community service activity reports

  • Best practice articles

  • Community service case studies

  • Community-based innovation models

3. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and unpublished

  • Written in Indonesian or English

  • Free from plagiarism

  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts

4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract and Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Method of Implementation

  6. Results and Discussion

  7. Conclusion and Recommendations

  8. Acknowledgments (optional)

  9. References

5. Formatting Guidelines

  • Length: 5–10 pages

  • Paper size: A4

  • Spacing: 1.15

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Margins: standard (2.5 cm)

  • File format: .doc or .docx

6. Citation and References

  • Use APA Style (latest edition)

  • Reference management tools are recommended (Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote)

  • References should be relevant and primarily from scholarly sources

7. Review Process

  • All submissions undergo editorial screening and peer review

  • Revisions may be requested based on reviewers’ comments

  • Final decisions rest with the editorial board

8. Copyright and Access

  • Published articles are open access

  • Authors retain copyright while granting publication rights to the SEMNAS PKM organizer

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting the manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  • ☐ The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere

  • ☐ The article fits the scope and focus of Community Service (PKM)

  • ☐ The manuscript is written in proper Indonesian or English

  • ☐ The manuscript structure complies with the Author Guidelines of SEMNAS PKM

  • ☐ The length and formatting meet the specified requirements

  • ☐ All tables, figures, and illustrations are properly titled and captioned

  • ☐ Citations and references follow the APA Style (latest edition)

  • ☐ The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism

  • ☐ Author details are correctly and completely entered in the OJS metadata

  • ☐ The manuscript file is submitted in .doc or .docx format

  • ☐ The author agrees to the copyright and open access policy of SEMNAS PKM

Copyright Notice

As part of the submission process, authors must agree to the following copyright terms and conditions. By submitting your manuscript, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below:

  1. Ownership and Licensing:

    • Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the copyright is transferred to [Journal Name/Publisher Name].
    • Authors grant the publisher the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, and publicly display the work in all formats and media, both current and future.

  2. Author Rights:

    • Authors retain the following rights:
      • The right to use the content for academic and educational purposes, including sharing it with students or colleagues.
      • The right to include the work in a thesis or dissertation, provided it is not published commercially.
      • The right to reuse parts of the work (e.g., figures, tables) in future publications authored by the same author(s), with appropriate citation to the original publication.

  3. Permissions:

    • Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables, or text excerpts) included in their manuscript. Proof of permission must be provided upon submission.

  4. Open Access (if applicable):

    • If the manuscript is published under an Open Access model, it will be distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution License ([Specify License Type, e.g., CC BY, CC BY-NC]), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.

  5. Warranty by Authors:

    • Authors confirm that:
      • The work is original and does not infringe upon any existing copyright or intellectual property rights.
      • All authors have significantly contributed to the work and agree with the content of the manuscript.
      • The manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another publication.

  6. Publisher Disclaimer:

    • The publisher assumes no responsibility for legal issues arising from the content provided by the authors. Authors are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with copyright and ethical standards.
